- Red River Ramblers
Acoustic blues
- It started as two friends, Ken Korb and Tom Linden, getting together on occasion to sing old Hank Williams songs. Over the course of a few years, the “Hank Club” morphed into the Red River Ramblers, a four-piece country group. In addition to Hank Williams songs, the Ramblers do a variety of old country tunes originally sung by Merle Haggard, Lefty Frizzell, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Kris Kristoferson and others. The Ramblers also throw in a few bluegrass fiddle tunes just to liven things up.
The Ramblers have performed at the some of the most prestigious music festivals on Long Island, including Bradstock, the Cedar Beach Music Festival and the Sayville Earth Day Festival. In addition, they have wowed crowds at various other venues including the bayside restaurant, Fat Fish, the Sugarloaf Café in Bellport and the East Enders Coffee House in Riverhead. The Ramblers are currently working on their first CD at Larry Moser’s studio in Huntington. Performances this summer will take place at the cafés listed above, Fadely’s in Blue Point, and later in the season at the South Country Library, Bellport.
